A Real Thing That Happened (Sorta) - A Journey By Car

And what a journey it was…
7 ladies
2 generations
1 minivan
No destination

My mother - the travel agent
Colonial Williamsburg
Closed for the winter

Halfway down the coast:
Tennessee for barbecue

Three quarters down the coast:
Visit Aunt Michelle in Florida

Florida:
Might as well
Go to Disney
If we’re already here

A week spent:
Park to park
Hotel to hotel
Three packs of underwear bought

Even though
We had a trip planned
Three weeks later

4 children under 10
A teenager
2 women in their mid-40s

No strategy
No plan

No wonder chaos ensued

A Poem That Shows I Eat Too Many Carbs - Love and Bread

Love and bread
Similar in nature
are they not
The body of man
Versus the soul

Both common among animals
Do a dog biscuit and an owner's love
not go hand and hand
Is bread not what gives us
the life to love

Are they not both simple
Being consumed by people everyday
And consuming people on those same days
Love and bread
Who’s to say

They are not one and the same

A Series of Haikus Someone Made Me Write - Head Hands Heart

Head
Swarming with ideas
Living in the headspace
Lost in thought, always

Heart
Beating wildly
There is no controlling it
In and of itself

Hands
To feel the warmth
Of the flames in the night

Let it burn

A Poem I Wrote About Space - Io

Io
My name
Untouched by earth
Not suited for their needs

With mountains taller than any other
Volcanoes erupting with Sulfur
That floats in the atmos
And frosts the ground

Awakening to see
Mother Jupiter
Every time I turn
Her final child
Closest to her heart

I wish to be further
But cannot leave
My mother needs me
So I stay

For as long as a have to

I Really Like JP Morgan - I Hate Museums (also i went to the morgan library which is just a museum for books)

Who is it for? They say the public But what about knowledge? Decades of existence locked away For the eyes and minds of few Wha...
